We started building Writeway when we realized something important: Despite all the digital tools available today, many people have stopped the practice of regular journaling. The intimate experience of recording thoughts has been lost in the noise of notifications and endless feeds.

Largely inspired by what makes paper journaling special, we set out to make the tool we wanted for ourselves: A private personal space to think and create. With individual pages to capture moments in time, rather than a never-ending blur of infinite scroll. And a way to meaningfully connect content spanning across pages and journals.
